Helping People Heal and Thrive
Hi, I’m Jared Langemeier, the founder of Mettle Mind LLC. I know that asking for help isn’t easy—especially when it feels like admitting defeat. But here’s what I’ve learned: seeking support isn’t a sign of weakness. It’s one of the most courageous steps you can take toward creating the life you deserve.
I’ve walked alongside many individuals who felt unsure or even ashamed about reaching out for help. Through my own personal and professional experiences, I’ve come to understand that true strength lies in facing life’s challenges head-on—and no one has to do it alone. That belief is the foundation of Mettle Mind LLC.
I hold a Masters in Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am a provisionally licensed mental health practitioner. I specialize in helping individuals work through many things, including anxiety, trauma, self-doubt, and life transitions, equipping them with tools to overcome obstacles and build resilience. My approach is rooted in understanding, empathy, and practical strategies that empower you to take control of your journey.
At Mettle Mind, we believe that asking for help is an act of bravery, not weakness. Society often tells us to “power through” and suppress our struggles, but that approach only holds us back. True growth happens when we lean into our challenges, unpack what’s weighing us down, and rebuild stronger. We're here to help you discover the strength you already have—and show you how to use it to thrive.
If you’ve ever felt that seeking support means you’re “not strong enough,” we’d love to help change that narrative. You are stronger than you think, and taking this step is proof of that. Let’s work together to turn the challenges you’re facing into opportunities for growth.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a structured, goal-oriented form of psychotherapy that focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors. It is based on the idea that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected, and by modifying unhelpful thinking patterns, we can improve emotional well-being and develop healthier behaviors. CBT is commonly used to treat anxiety, depression, stress, and various other mental health conditions. It involves practical techniques such as cognitive restructuring, mindfulness, and behavioral experiments to help individuals manage their thoughts and reactions more effectively.
Person-Centered Therapy (PCT), developed by Carl Rogers, is a humanistic approach to psychotherapy that emphasizes the client's innate potential for growth and self-actualization. It is based on the belief that people are inherently good and capable of making positive changes in their lives when provided with the right environment.
PCT is widely used for a variety of emotional and psychological challenges, including anxiety, depression, and self-esteem issues, and is known for its emphasis on client autonomy and empowerment.
Brainspotting therapy is a trauma-focused therapeutic approach that helps individuals process and heal from emotional distress by accessing deep, subconscious memories stored in the brain. It was developed by Dr. David Grand in 2003 and is based on the idea that where a person looks (their eye position) can help access unprocessed trauma. By focusing on a specific "brainspot"—a point in the visual field that correlates with emotional activation—clients can process unresolved experiences and release stored trauma. This method is often used for PTSD, anxiety, depression, and performance enhancement.
